The Ecological Connectivity Data Atlas was created as part of the Great Northern LCC Ecological Connectivity Project. The project is designed to support achievement of the following GNLCC goal:
- Conserve a permeable landscape with connectivity across aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems, including species movement, genetic connectivity, migration, dispersal, life history, and biophysical processes
This atlas compiles connectivity data currently available across the GNLCC as a resource for managers in identifying important areas for action. It is the first step in a project that is likely to be on-going and part of a larger landscape conservation design effort for the GNLCC.
