Conservation blueprint completed for Columbia Plateau Ecoregion

To aid managers in conservation efforts in the Columbia Plateau Ecoregion, the Great Northern LCC funded a two-year landscape conservation design project. The recently completed project, lead by the US Fish & Wildlife Service's National Wildlife Refuge planning office in Portland, OR, and in collaboration with the Arid Lands Initiative, used spatial analyses to identify priority areas for restoration and protection of habitats and species.

This starting point will allow conservation partners to work from a common blueprint for on-the-ground conservation actions and in developing management strategies adapted to a changing climate.
