Webinar: Can we conserve wetlands in the Columbia Plateau under a changing climate?
EPA Climate Change Speaker Series
Presenters: Megan Halabisky, PhD candidate UW; Dr. Se-Yeun Lee, Climate Impacts Group; and Dr. Sonia Hall, SAH Ecologia LLC
The presenters are working collaboratively with the scientific community to map wetland hydrology across the ecoregion. With the use of various mapping technologies, the project is developing wall-to-wall data on wetland location, historical hydrologic dynamics, and projected climate change impacts on hydrologic dynamics. They are also working with managers to use these data to develop recommendations for climate-smart conservation of wetlands across the Columbia Plateau. Come learn about their work and how you can get more involved.
This project is in part, funded by the Great Northernn LCC. For project details, check out the proposal and project updates.
